WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) offered the following on the death of Deputy First Class Glenn Hilliard of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, who was killed in the line of duty this weekend.

“Deputy Glenn Hilliard spent nearly two decades in law enforcement, working to protect his community. His death in the line of duty is tragic. My prayers are with his wife, children, colleagues and all those who were touched by Deputy Hilliard’s life. I am thankful to our local law enforcement officers in Wicomico County and around the state who make sacrifices big and small to keep our communities safe.”
