I am very pleased by committee passage of legislation I authored that would provide 10-year funding authorization for the Washington Metrorail system. The Metro system is critical to meeting the transportation needs of more than 100 million passengers a year.
This legislation will ensure that the Metro system will have the funds it needs to revitalize the 30- year-old system.
