I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of Tim Russert, one of the most passionate, committed and responsible journalists of our time.  His dedication to fair, relevant, and quality reporting was unparalleled.  His untimely death is a blow to all of us who knew him and who depended on his insights and analysis.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and co-workers in this very difficult time.
