Cardin announces Targeted Watershed Grants
Senator Cardin announced Targeted Watershed Grants to help improve the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay. Included in the grants is $700,000 to help horse farms in Frederick and Carroll Counties reduce nutrient runoff into the Bay. Horse farms produce thousands of pounds of nitrogen and phosphorous annually, severely impacting the health of the Bay.
